A year of learning, connection and confidence: the NNA partners with Walters Medical to deliver a new webinar programme for neonatal nurses
Neonatal nursing continues to evolve rapidly, with nurses facing new clinical challenges and learning needs. In response, the Neonatal Nurses Association (NNA) with support from Walters Medical will deliver a programme of webinars that reflects the realities of neonatal nursing practice and the priorities identified by neonatal nurses.
The NNA is an independent national organisation representing neonatal nurses and steered by neonatal nurses working together to enhance standards, influence policy and promote wellbeing for nurses, and the babies and families they care for.
Walters Medical supplies neonatal equipment and consumables in the UK, working in partnership with manufacturers such as Atom Medical to support healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional neonatal care.
The support of Walters Medical has enabled the NNA to offer a more accessible learning experience than ever before. All webinars will be provided free of charge to NNA members, ensuring that highquality learning is available regardless of location or shift pattern, with recordings available in a growing back catalogue of online learning events.
Expert speakers will deliver sessions that are practical and relevant to nurses providing direct care for premature and sick babies. The programme will also strengthen professional connection by bringing together colleagues from neonatal units across the country.
As part of the partnership, new NNA members will receive guest vouchers to share with colleagues, enabling them to attend a webinar at no cost. This initiative promotes accessibility to professional development opportunities.
“Study days are expensive and getting funding can be difficult. NNA members can access lots of free or cheap learning events,” says one NNA member.
David Bounds, Sales Director for Walters Medical, adds: “We are incredibly proud to support the Neonatal Nurses Association and the vital work they do. Neonatal nurses play a crucial role in giving the smallest patients the best possible start in life and we are honoured to support their continued learning and development.”
