Mothercare introduces premature baby clothing range

With input from Bliss, healthcare professionals and parents, Mothercare has designed a range of premature baby clothing with the needs of the smallest babies in mind.

It has developed the range to ensure that soft fastenings and easy openings can make dressing babies in neonatal care as easy for parents and as comfortable for the baby as possible. The design of the clothing opens fully flat, allowing easy access for any medical treatment without disturbing the infant.

The clothes can be washed at up to 95 degrees, meaning that it is suitable to be laundered in hospital. The range will include cotton hats, scratch mitts, bodysuits and sleep suits.

The new range of premature baby clothing will be launching in January next year and will include clothing for babies from 900g.

Over the last year, Mothercare employees have taken part in a number of fundraising activities such as half marathons and bake sales to raise money for Bliss. It has donated funds of over £50,000 to support the vital work of the charity and announced that Bliss will be its charity of the year for a second consecutive year.

Mothercare has designed a range of clothing specifically for premature infants.
