Student midwife sets up support group
A support group for women who are suffering from depression or anxiety when having a baby has been set up at Dorset County Hospital by Maternity Support Worker and Student Midwife Charlie Francis-Pape.
Charlie's aim is to support women through a difficult period in their life after she suffered from postnatal and antenatal depression of varying degrees when having her three daughters. She now works as a volunteer with mental health charities to tell her story.
The group has been set up through the charity PANDAS, a national organisation that aims to support women who suffer from postnatal and antenatal depression.
