Charity donates information wallets
Mums-to-be receiving care at Ipswich Hospital are being given vital information to help them protect their unborn babies in a handy wallet to carry throughout pregnancy.
The specially-designed and eye-catching wallets include advice about how often the baby should move, facts about growth and tips on what women should do if they have concerns, as well as information about when to seek urgent help. They also offer general advice about staying well during pregnancy, signs of labour and breastfeeding, as well as explaining what midwives will check for during appointments.
Women will use the wallets to store their notes so that all of their details are easily accessible when they come for appointments or in an emergency.
The wallets have been produced in partnership with the Jude Brady Foundation, a local charity set up by Peter and Lynn Brady after their son Jude was stillborn in 2006. The foundation has donated 4,000 wallets to the hospital, which will last around one year.
