Bereavement care in the UK: variability in resources and approaches

Research by Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, has found that bereavement care in maternity units in the UK continues to be under resourced, with considerable variation in approaches to care. This article reviews the key recommendations and findings from Sands’ recent audit of bereavement care in UK maternity units.
