Wound care for preterm neonates

This article looks at the most common skin injuries and wounds which are found in the pre-term infant population. The causative factors, treatment and healing process are discussed with guidelines for prevention where appropriate. Parental involvement should be encouraged as treatment does not necessarily mean an extended hospital stay.
