Respiratory syncytial virus infection: Outcome, management and prevention

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection is very common in young children. This article describes the acute and long-term morbidity that results from RSV infection. The evidence for current therapy and the effectiveness of preventative strategies are discussed.
