Funding approach offers vCreate free to trusts

Technology provider vCreate has launched a funding approach that aims to deliver its secure messaging service to NHS trusts across the country with no cost to the hospital.

It offers charities and corporate organisations the opportunity to sponsor the vCreate technology for their local NHS neonatal unit in exchange for brand awareness and media coverage.

Founder of vCreate Ben Moore says: "We decided that an approach to funding was necessary that enabled us to remove cost as a barrier to entry for hospitals. Making vCreate free at the point of delivery to both patients and neonatal units became the focus of the project."

Consultant Neonatologist at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, Dr Neil Patel says: "Funding new innovation in the NHS is a very real challenge. By working closely with charities, private companies and patient families we were able to identify a funding model without additional cost to the NHS, which enables us to offer this service to families in neonatal units throughout the UK."
