vCreate and Preemies UK unite to provide woolly hats for infants

A knitting campaign that launched at the beginning of April to find volunteers to make hats for premature and sick babies in neonatal units has achieved over ten times its original campaign target.

Preemies UK is a charity that encourages knitters and crocheters to make handmade cardigans, hats, blankets and toys for premature babies around the UK. The charity's recent partnership with vCreate brought together volunteer knitters and crocheters from around the country to craft woolly hats for premature babies.

The 'Make a Hat for a Preemie' campaign had an original target of 100 hats, but it has since received over 1,000 that will be sent out to NHS neonatal units.
