Emily Harris Foundation raises over £100,000 for King's Mill neonatal unit

Since its launch in 2008, the Emily Harris Foundation has raised over £100,000 for King's Mill Hospital neonatal unit in Mansfield. To celebrate this milestone Chair of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust John MacDonald presented a certificate of appreciation to the charity's Foundation Manager Claire Harris.

Emily Harris was born prematurely suffering from a serious heart condition and spent a great deal of her short life on the unit at King's Mill. Her parents, Claire and Neil, were so grateful for the care from the staff that they wanted to show their appreciation following Emily's death. The foundation provides financial support for the professional development of staff and financial relief for families with babies receiving care on the unit.
