Louth Midwifery Centre opens its doors

The new Louth Midwifery Centre was officially opened in September by Tony Bramley, a non-executive director of the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Foundation Trust.

The centre, which enables the Trust to run all antenatal and consultant-led clinics under the same roof, saw its first patients back in May. It now has the ability to provide a wider range of maternity services to the local community.

Community Manager Victoria Wilkins reflects on the event: "It has been great to officially open the doors to the centre and to highlight where we are and what services we can offer to the local community. Staff from across the Trust have attended to help us celebrate, including ex-colleagues and local families.

"Patients can expect a more appropriate environment for women, including well- adapted treatment rooms and sonography suites. We are all looking forward to having our services under one roof and working with the local community across Lincolnshire."

Celebrating the opening, Non-Executive Director Tony Bramley and Community Manager Victoria Wilkins are joined by colleagues for the big occasion.
