Twinkle Ball raises funds for University Hospital Crosshouse

Kayleigh and Euan Kerr from Stewarton have visited the neonatal unit at University Hospital Crosshouse, Scotland, to donate £3,730 of the proceeds from their Twinkle Twinkle Little Ball. Kayleigh and Euan arranged the fundraising event to raise awareness and funds for Bliss, the charity for babies born premature or sick, and the neonatal unit.

Kayleigh says: "We cannot even begin to explain how overwhelmed we are by the support and generosity we have received for this event. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came, bought raffle tickets and bid in our auction. Thank you to all local businesses that got behind us and donated.

"My little girl Bonnie spent ten weeks in the neonatal unit in 2016 and I will never forget the care and support we received there as a family. We hope that the donation goes towards helping other families, like us, through such a difficult time."

Caroline Blake, Clinical Midwife Manager Neonatal Services, adds: "We are so grateful for this donation and to all the people who were involved in the ball. These donations go towards all the little extra things we wouldn't otherwise be able to provide for families, that make things just that little bit better."
